Finding my path

There’s something about being out in nature that clears the mind, resets the soul, and reminds us of what truly matters. For me, the outdoors has always been more than just a place to explore—it’s been a lifeline.

Peak n Path wasn’t born in a boardroom or sketched out in a business plan. It started on a mountainside, with my boots hitting the dirt, my breath steadying with each step, and a sunrise breaking over the horizon. More specifically, it started on Roys Peak, New Zealand, during a solo sunrise hike in April 2023—a moment that changed everything for me.

A Personal Journey Through the Mountains

For a long time, I struggled with my mental health. Life felt heavy, and I needed something to break the cycle. That’s when I turned to the outdoors. I found comfort in the quiet of the trails, the simplicity of putting one foot in front of the other, and the way nature made everything feel lighter, even if just for a little while.

That hike up Roys Peak was tough, not just physically but mentally. But reaching the summit, standing there in the early morning light, I felt something I hadn’t in a long time—clarity. That was the moment I knew I wanted to create something that embodied the healing power of nature, something that encouraged others to step outside, breathe deep, and reconnect with themselves.

Building Peak n Path

I started noticing a gap in outdoor apparel—so much of it felt outdated, overly technical, or poor in quality. I wanted to create something different: high-quality, minimalist clothing that felt good to wear, lasted for years, and reflected a love for the outdoors.

With the support of my family—especially my mum, Vicky, and my brother, Matt—I started shaping the vision for Peak n Path. Matt, with his eye for design, helped refine the logo and branding, bringing my ideas to life. The first photoshoot at Curbar Edge, with my best friend and his partner as models, made it all feel real. It wasn’t just about selling clothes—it was about creating a community of like-minded people who saw nature as more than just a backdrop, but a way of life.

More Than a Brand

Peak n Path isn’t just about clothing; it’s about a mindset. It’s about making conscious choices, buying less but buying better, and ensuring that what we create is as kind to the planet as it is to the people who wear it. That’s why sustainability is at the core of everything we do—from the organic and recycled fabrics we use to the biodegradable packaging and eco-friendly ink we print with.

But more importantly, it’s about encouraging people to find their own path, whether that’s through hiking, exploring, or simply taking a deep breath in the fresh air. Because sometimes, the best way to find yourself is to get lost in nature.

This is just the beginning of the Peak n Path journey, and I can’t wait to see where it leads. If you’ve ever felt the power of the outdoors to heal, to inspire, and to change your perspective, you’re already part of this story.

Here’s to the trails ahead.
